This deluxe, standard-sized, handcrafted walnut and maple chess set is up for the offering.... and what an incredible chess set it is!

The board is constructed of premium American walnut and maple woods, and features a two-toned, borderless edge. The board has been finished with three coats of danish oil on all sides and edges. The squares on this board measure the large "competition/regulation" sized 1 3/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches. The overall dimensions of the board are approximately 14 x 14 x 3/4" thick.... making the board solid and noticeably weighty. Rubberized grip feet are optional to have installed on the bottom (removable) for stability.

The hardwood minimalist chess pieces are laser etched and hand carved from walnut and maple, triple weighted with a green felt bottom, and hand finished to match the board. Each piece was meticulously handcrafted and finished. Two extra queens are included in the set for proper chess play. This is not a cheap piece set... the kings measure approximately 3" tall with a 1 1/4" base, and the knights stand approximately 2" with a 1" base.

This small minimal chess set is an absolute wonderful gift for the chess enthusiast, and a set that is built to last for generations.
