Lots and lots of work into these little pieces of kitchen art....

This is a 3D end grain round cutting board, professional series countertop block made from walnut, cherry, and hard maple woods. It measures 16 1/2" in diameter and is 1 1/2" thick.
 
Finished with two coats of food-safe butcher block sealant and two coats of food-safe block conditioner (beeswax and mineral oil). It has been sanded down to 220 grit and comes with optional rubber feet for better countertop grip.

This block is built with beauty in mind but definitely also ready to work. These blocks are fully reversible also..... cut on one side, display the other!

These are simply gorgeous and make for the best presents for the cooking enthusiast in your life.
