Have a look at this dragon end grain walnut cutting board or serving board, made from American walnut and featuring a beautiful and colorful fighting dragon inlay design on the serving side and juice channels on the cutting side.

The term "charcuterie board" is thrown around so loosely these days, I'm not even sure exactly what the definition or dimensions of what one of those actually is anymore. If you want to call it a charcuterie, you're more than welcome to!. 😃

Both sides of this board are designed and built differently (and finished separately) to add to it's multi-purpose functionality.

The "Dragon" serving board side: Not meant for cutting but for serving (wine, drinks, food, deserts, etc.). I carved the dragon design and filled it with two different colors of epoxy resin (green, blue) for the decorative inlay. Four corner flourish inlay designs were carved near the four corners of the board and filled with purple epoxy resin. Finished in three coats of clear semi-gloss polyurethane for a durable, hard, near maintenance-free protective coating. I wanted to create a rustic, weathered look on this side, so I applied a layer of finish and half sanded it down again, then gave it two more coats of finish. A weathered look is exactly what I got on the wood grain but not the butterfly... my initial intention. I personally like the effect. It's different!

The cutting board side: Made for cutting, chopping, and other food preparation tasks. This side features a perimeter cutting board juice groove and adjacent juice channels for collecting liquids and juices and keep them from spilling off of your board and all over the countertop and/or floor. This side is finished in three coats of food/cutting-safe conditioning lotion (mineral oil, coconut oil, beeswax), and will need to be oiled and re-conditioned from time to time as the board dries out.

The board measures 25"x16"x1.25".
